On the last day of our summer vacation we drove to a state park approx 2 hours from our home in Kentucky.

Natural bridge state park and another similar rock Formation in the Red River Gorge area are very impressive natural rock bridges that formed over thousands of years.
Getting to the first natural bridge, we went along the scenic road that goes all around the main area of Red River Gorge. On the first part of this route one has to pass the Nada tunnel, that only allows one car to pass in one direction at a time.
Before reaching the natural bridge, stop at the Information center to get some background information on the formation of the beautiful bridges.
Hiking here is not to difficult. The parking is near and the trails are well laid out, so even people who are not regular hikers can manage to see this natural wonder.

We found this State Park worth the 2 hours Drive and Had a good time hiking here.
If you bring food to the State Park, it is recommended to eat only in designated spots, and be aware that there are bear in the forest who might be interested in your food
We ended up with a total of 8.9km(5.5mi), which was rewarded with an ice cream.
