In august 2019 we took of to one of our most adventures trips so far. We had decided to drive from Bangkok to Singapore and back. Ahead of us a journey of 5000 km in 20 days.
So we rented a roof top box for our luggage, because we were seven on this trip, leaving not much space for luggage in the car.
Our trip in detail: 1. HatYai 2. Penang Island 3. Kuala Kangsar
4. Kuala Lumpur 5. Johor Bharu 6. Singapore 7. Kuantan 8. Kuala Terengganu 9. Kota Bharu 10. Surat Thani
We spend time at lakes, in the jungle, on the beach, in cities, in caves and theme parks. We were traveling at night, but mostly during the day.
We went down the westcoast of Malaysia and returned along the eastcoast.
We saw cultural differences in three countries and many different regions/states of the countries.
The hotels we had booked varied from super luxury (Hard Rock Hotel Penang) to very basic (Hostel in Singapore), but both of them were almost equally expensive.
We had many different kinds og food and learned about the basic needs of people such as the Orang Asli at Royal Belum in the north of Malaysia.
Niki had collected a good amount of money that we donated to a school in the south of Thailand and a few families in the hometown of our maid, Yala.
The trip of 3 weeks felt like a much longer journey because we experienced so many different things and areas. For some it might be enough for a whole lifetime, but for us it is only the beginning.
